What does Jinxmedic Studios actually produce? We are glad you asked! Here's a quick overview:

Illustration and Cartooning

Michael's characteristic ink illustrations were first published nationally in 1984, and have since been seen in numerous publications and periodicals. A frequent contributor for (now defunct) Port Townsend based Loompanics Limited, he specializes in hand tinted pen-and-ink work, especially well suited for topical satire. (note- this is "topical" satire, not "tropical" satire. Tropical satire incurs extra travel expenses.)

Graphic Design

Business or organizational logos, event logos, unit insignia, and heraldic design are specialties. Previous customers include national organizations, local groups, and the United States Armed Forces. (This is the day to day work of Jinxmedic Studios, and is what generally pays the bills, on those special days that bills actually get paid.)

Medallic Design

More recently, he has been employed as a professional medallic designer at a major national private mint, where literally hundreds of his designs have been produced as limited-edition medals. A member of the American Medallic Sculpture Association, Michael has worked with world class sculptors and engravers to bring these designs to life.

Hand-hammered coinmaking

Keeping alive the ancient skills of the independent coinmaker, Michael recreates ancient and medieval-styled coinage using the techniques developed from the earliest moneyers. Working primarily in fine silver, his coins have been commissioned to commemorate special events throughout the country.

Colonial Gunsmithing - the Jinxmedic's Pennsylvania Longrifle shop

As a noted builder of the famed Pennsylvania Longrifle, examples of Michael's work may be seen at the Daniel Boone Homestead in Birdsboro, Pennsylvania. All-authentic construction techniques are used, creating a firearm identical in feel to a centuries-old original. Note- Private commissions may be undertaken, but due to the method of longrifle construction, please expect at least a two to three year wait for completion.
